1. Scope
This policy describes how PersonWise handles personal data on personwise.ai.
PersonWise digital humans are AI-generated and not based on any real person. We do not offer voice cloning or avatar likeness customization; users select only from a fixed library of avatars and voices.
2. Data we process
- Account data: name, email, and identity-provider profile basics.
- Content data: materials you upload and courses you generate.
- Learner data: session progress, voice questions, and assessment responses for courses you take or assign.
- Notification data: your notification preferences and the unsubscribe tokens that authorize reminder opt-outs.
- Technical data: logs, device and usage information, and technical error diagnostics.
3. Why we process it
To provide and improve the Service, to secure it, to bill subscriptions, and to meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal data.
4. Processors
We rely on a small set of processors under data-processing agreements:
- Paddle or Dodo Payments — payment merchant of record (subscription billing); the active processor depends on the final merchant-of-record selection.
- Supabase — authentication and database hosting, in the Singapore region.
- Alibaba Cloud — cloud infrastructure, object storage, and GPU rendering, hosted in the Singapore region.
- DashScope International — AI model providers (generation, voice, and Q&A).
- Sentry — EU error monitoring for technical diagnostics only.
- PostHog — consent-gated product analytics and privacy-masked session replay for product diagnostics.
Our Data Processing Agreement describes these sub-processors and the safeguards that apply.
Sentry receives technical error diagnostics only. We do not use Sentry to collect course materials, prompts, transcripts, generated answers, or replay recordings.
5. Data residency and international transfers
Your personwise.ai data — account data, uploaded materials, generated courses, and learner data — is hosted and processed in Singapore. It is kept separate from mainland China and is not transferred there. A limited set of processors (payment, error diagnostics, and analytics) operate in their own regions under data-processing agreements, with appropriate safeguards for any transfer.
6. Your rights
You can access and update your profile (including changing your contact email), manage notification preferences and unsubscribe from reminders, export your data, and delete your account — all available in-product under Settings, or via [email protected].
7. Retention
We keep data only as long as needed for the purposes above, then delete or anonymize it.
